Truck driver going to prison for Internet enticement

NAMPA -- A Homedale man will spend 10 to 20 years in prison for
attempting
to entice what he thought was a teenage girl over the Internet.
Authorities say Schmierer was attempting to solicit young females via the
Internet to meet him for sexual activity.
Schmierer, an interstate truck driver, made several communications from
out
of state.
Police led him to believe he would be meeting with a 13-year-old girl in
Nampa. During phone and Internet discussions, Schmierer indicated he was
interested in having sexual contact with the girl he was going to meet.

Yep and the stupid cops never learn.
At least one federal judge ruled "No child, no case".
Back when the tv show "To catch a predator" was in high swing, using
an adult with a high pitched child like voice, they illegally
entrapped victims. Practically every one of those cases had a plea of
"not guilty".
While the show was being aired, I brought up this point of "no child,
no case", and suddenly the tv show had a real 13 year old girl. They
also used a 13 year old boy and they coached him on what to say.
The real question is, will these types of laws hold up in court?
Who is the criminal here? Is the officer guilty of enticing as well?
At this point in time, what crime has been committed to warrant 10
years in prison? None. At best, it is minor misdemeanor as no contact
with a child was ever made.
"Attempting to entice"? Oh please. This sounds more like horsehockey.

BOISE -- A long-haul truck driver admitted in federal court today that he
took an 11-year-old girl on a trip with him last summer and engaged in
sexual acts in more than a dozen occasions.
Albert Dean Dady, 41, of Garden City, pleaded guilty to transportation of
a
minor with intent to engage in unlawful sexual activity

He's no pedophile, he's a damn rapist.

So she's 11 years old, and he's not a pedophile.

Did you known the "Mann Act" was written primarily to hang one certain
black boxer who was going around the countryside having sex with a
white woman? Even though it is properly legal for two consenting
adults to engage in sex, you can now be charged simply because you
crossed state lines. Think about that before you go taking your girl
friend in the truck and having sex with her in it.

You can't be charged with having sex if you're an adult, dimwit.

trucker, had 3 daughters and raped his oldest daughter in the truck
while on the road. She wasn't even 10 years old. They eventually
caught the bastard.
